About WealthCornerstone
A free financial education platform built for people who are doing okay financially — but sense their money decisions aren't adding up to a coherent system.
Why We Built This
Most personal finance content falls into one of two traps: it's either so basic it's useless (“spend less than you earn!”) or so complex it assumes you already have a financial advisor, an accountant, and a trust fund.
WealthCornerstone was built for everyone in between — the people who have read the articles, listened to the podcasts, and still feel like they're making disconnected guesses rather than building something intentional.
The research that became this site started as a personal project: trying to build a coherent financial system for a household with a mortgage, a child, student debt, and no inheritance. What became clear early on is that the individual pieces of personal finance — insurance, investing, retirement accounts, taxes — only make sense when you understand how they connect. That systems view is what this site is built around.
The Cornerstone Idea
A cornerstone isn't decoration. It's the first stone laid — the one everything else is built on.
We chose that name deliberately. Personal finance isn't about individual wins. It's about building something load-bearing: a system where your income, protection, savings, investments, and legacy reinforce each other instead of competing. Every calculator, guide, and framework on this site is designed with that view in mind.
What We Cover

Taxes

Legacy & Estate
Beneficiary designations, wills, and the financial steps families often skip until it's too late.
How We Work
WealthCornerstone is a financial education platform — not a financial firm. We don't sell products, manage money, or earn commissions.
Topic selection based on real gaps
We track the questions people actually search — especially the ones that existing financial content skips, oversimplifies, or answers only for people who already have a financial advisor.
Research against primary sources
Every article is grounded in IRS.gov, SEC.gov, CFPB, NAIC, and peer-reviewed financial literature. We link to source material directly — not to other blogs.
AI-assisted drafting, human-led review
We use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis and first-draft structure. Our editorial team then rewrites where needed, fact-checks every claim, and approves the final version before publication.
Publication with full disclosure
Every article publishes with a named author or reviewer, a date, category tags, and an educational-only disclaimer. Nothing goes live without that metadata.
Ongoing maintenance
Financial rules change. Contribution limits, tax brackets, and regulations update constantly. We treat articles as living documents and revise them when the underlying rules shift.
